THE Q+ HUB

The Q+ Hub is a traveling queer venue, made from a reclaimed shipping container and painted in a fully inclusive rainbow design. The hub has been architecturally modified so that it can transform in a multitude of different ways, hosting events like live performances, exhibitions, concerts, workshops, artist markets and outdoor cinema screenings.

Beyond the modified shipping container, Q+ work with queer artists across a broad range of mediums to curate a unique program of events that not only provides for the local queer communities they visit (giving them a safe space, enhancing visibility and pride and connecting them with important community service providers) but that also engages the wider community in which they belong with fun and interactive ways of taking part in queer culture and thinking about the central question of why diversity is everybody’s business.

To read more about Q+ and all the cool work they do:

It’s important that young queer people grow up knowing that there are organisations like Wear It Purple who have their back and their interests at heart. Q+ was proud as always to tell the the story of how we came to be and Wear It Purple’s part in that story.

Wear it Purple is very proud to have helped support three activations for Q+: Bendigo '21, Melbourne Pride '22 & Bendigo '22 which you can find more info about below!
