About Mimi
Mimi is a dedicated intersex, genderqueer, and lesbian advocate and activist currently living and working on Ngunnawal and Nambri Country.
She is committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of LGBTIQASB+ people through her extensive involvement in advocacy, community building, mental health support, legislative reform, and media work.
Mimi currently works at A Gender Agenda as Intersex Project Coordinator, she has developed and facilitated training, increased intersex awareness through media, helped create policies to further protect the human rights of Trans, Gender Diverse and Intersex individuals, and support community through peer-led events. Notably, she contributed to the creation of legislation passed in June 2023 to protect intersex people from non-consensual medical interventions in the ACT.
She is also a Registered Nurse, and currently completing a thesis looking at intersex care within nursing and midwifery.
